“Play” in Steering wheel + vid

Hey there,

It seems that when the car is not moving, there is a tiny steering wheel “play”. I can slightly move right-left the steering, without the tires moving. It seems like something is loose. When driving, nothing seems wrong. Only thing I know that needs replacing is the Front track arms, cause it seems to be making noise on bumps.

Anything else to check?

The play you describe sounds like worn tie rod ends. Could also be a worn rack and pinion.

thanks for the input. I made a short video so you can see exactly what i mean. Turn up the volume so you can hear the tiny noise it makes when slacking.. I asked the Dealer about it (when i was doing some key reprogramming) and they said "its something between normal and abnormal, seems like it is from the steering rack". So they didnt really paid any attention to it.

Maybe it’s the outer tie rod that’s faulty ?
