Thanks. I have been wanting to do this for a while and finally found time to do it.

I feel it really breaks up all the silver on the side.

I was glad to find the black logo caps too.

I picked up an extra set of wheels/tires yesterday. Trying to choose a color for this extra set. So...

I had a silver Mustang, actually two, and went with black wheels. On both. It gave them that tough, business, muscle look. Worked.

The 98 Boxster, in silver, I find presents more sophisticated and, with the 2.5, can't bring myself to commit to black. Again. The Boxster is not a muscle-y car. That said...

For this set I won't be painting them black, silver, gunmetal, grey, or anything in that family. The red interior I'm considering matching to the wheels. That's what I'm stuck at. Red. And... I'm not even sold on that color. Many wheel colors I've viewed on silver Porsches, and I'm not finding anything that sticks. They're all black. Gunmetal. Grey. And, then, those gold ones.

If you had an extra set of wheels around... a silver Boxster... and could paint them any color you choose, other than the dreary family, what would it be?

Red on silver? Please don't

I think you are fairly limited with a silver car. Anything other than "dreary" colors will just look ridiculous. Try photoshop to see what you like.

No...
