Tail light coloring?

Hey Guys,

I have seen pics of Boxsters with solid red tail lights.... I really like the look of them....
I guess a vinyl wrap is one way to go..... But I kinda want something more permanent....
What is the best way to go? I don't want to junk up my car, with something the will look like crap in a few months.....

Has anyone tried this stuff? If so how was you results? Did you finish she with a clear coat?

Thanks!
Fred

You could shop for a set of taillights from the 2004 Boxster S 550 SE. Those were all red except for the backup light portion which was clear. That is factory OEM and will last.

Hi...in the past I have used Testor red candy clear...it can be found in hobby shops. The color is an exact match for the taillights and is a red tinted clear. About $5

Thanks guys....

I saw that ad in the market place...lt is interesting.... But would like to know how the lenses were "tinted" I'm guessing they were just painted with the same stuff I posted above.... I bought a can (thanks for the testors trick!) and may give it a try....

I also saw the LED ones which also caught my eye....
