Squeaky noise from air/heat

My vents produce a faint yet highly irritating squeal when the air is on. Any idea how to stop this madness?

Yes. Leave off the air.

Sorry. Couldn't resist.

I've got the same noise! But only if it's on the very low scale. Any solution to this ?!

Mine raises in volume with the fan speed. I might try blowing some compressed air into the vents and see if that fixes anything

I suggest as a firs step, to remove the fan and give it a good clean.

Meir - new to the car, any tips on whereabouts that fan actually is an how to get to it?

Sure. It is pretty simple.
The fan is located on the passengers side, under the air bag.
You will have to remove the foam cover that is held in place by plastic screws.
Then you will see the button of the fan. Disconnect the electrical connector, and then remove two 6mm screws. The fan will slide down.
I think I posted some pics in the past.
Let me see if I can find this thread for you.
