Faint clicking noise near speedo when shifting

Just bought the 04 boxster s mentioned in previous posts. I had a question about a faint clicking noise coming from the dashboard behind the speedo when shifting. It almost sounds like the noise an old school lighted indicator would make turning on and off. It's in sync with shifting up and down. Just curious what that might be?

It's your clutch switch. Its really loud in these cars, I think its activating a relay.

Yes.
In fact, there is no relay. It’s just the switch itself.
You will get use to it :)
