Part question see attached

How does part 5 attach to fender? Anyone have a picture of the area? The picture is the outside trim piece on the rear wheels. Thanks.

It clips in to the area to the right of part 12, on the big part (part number cut off)?.

The screw #13 goes through a tab under the inner fender liner. The other end screws to a slot the wheel opening under the mud guard. You can see a little of the tab I'm pointing at. That part runs under that tab.

It's not a straight flat piece. It's supposed to have 2 bends in it. What's the problem your having? I took mine off and had them painted. Had detailed pics but deleted them but maybe can remember enough to help.

The plastic trim at the top is not connected to the body. After taking the wheel liner out and taking a peek, I noticed the support bracket is not there (part 15). I bought 15 this morning but am having a tough time figuring out how it connects to the fender. I am hoping the tab in the picture I provided will connect to the support bracket. I am just not sure if the part on the fender is all there. Not sure what is suppose to be there. Anyhow, I'm at work now. Thanks for responding.

It looks like the ear on the left side of part 15, which I've circled in blue below, slides into the receiving slot that I've circled in red on the big plastic piece. Then the screw goes through the big plastic piece, the other hole in part 15, and into the speed nut, #16. I changed one of those a few years ago and seem to recall it going like that. Take a look and see if that works.

Thanks everyone, the diagram really helps. Thanks for taking the time to do that. I'll let you know what happens when the piece comes in.

Ok, I did today. The piece I don't think actually attach to the fender. One one end you attach to plastic mud guard with a screw and a speed nut. The speed nut goes over a small piece of metal about 1" by 2". One end just rest against the fender lip. As you tighten the screw, it tightens against the fender. Unless I am missing something it seemed to work. Funny, I thought a connector on the fender was missing. I was going to epoxy the bracket to the inside of the fender. I put together to see how it lines up and it just worked.
