Quick question

Been driving around the last week with my low windshield wiper fluid light on and it won't turn off even after filling it up. What do I need to do to get this damn light to go off? My dash is beginning to light up like a christmas tree with all these warning lights that stay on. My airbag light also stays on , but I know the deal on that one. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Really don't want to have to take it to the dealership to fix.

Thanks,
denash01

Did you try to disconnect the battery for five minutes with your radio code in hand?

Hi,

The sensors do fail, but more often get clogged with dirt or mineral deposits. I would siphon out the fluid, remove the sensor and clean it using some windshield fluid and a toothbrush, I bet this fixes your problem. If not, you can easily replace the sensor yourself...

I consider it a serious lack of good judgement on Porsche's part with the warning light reset maneuver, requiring the owner to visit the dealer (inconveniencing both the owner and the dealer) to turn off lights that no longer have a true warning, like you suggested. I had one that would appear more serious, the airbag light, for when I swapped out seats, but still, when there is NO warning message, why should the light stay on? I disconnected my battery overnight to get rid of it to no avail, so I also have to go to the dealer for a ridiculous light reset - 45 miles away.
