Saw my first Carrera GT in person...
...driving around Cherry Creek yesterday, the posh area of Denver.
Pictures don't do this car justice at all. The proportions and stance are very menacing and very cool. It's a presence that you can't get a feel for in pictures. The other thing of note is the engine sound, Porsche clearly went to great lengths to tune it to sound like a Porsche because it's very similar to the tone of the flat-6 which isn't bad at all in my book.

This is wierd, but I saw my first one on the street today too. I've seen them in the showroom, but never on the street.
P.S. Damn I miss the Boxster
and I can't stop reading this forum LOL

Here is an interesting tidbit...did you know these golf tourneys have hole insurance. You can actually buy insurance that if a hole in one is hit, the company will pay for whatever you insured. If not, the company gets your premium. I organized a golf outing and learned all about this. We insured a Harley.

Stunning car , in person.
The outing was for ,The Hope & Heroes Children’s Cancer Fund , a great cause.
Most of the attendees were Medical or Wall St industry types.I did not meet the owner.
The GT was parked casually in the lot among various Lexus' , BMW's , Jeeps and my Boxster S.
It was a 27 hole outing and the GT was parked (in a single spot) , no valet , top down all day.
The best part was , the hole in hole prize was a new Lamborghini, your choice of color. They had 3 there for the outing , yellow, black and red.
There was no winner , but imaging if the Carerra GT owner had won , the Lambo would have been his 2nd best car.

Weird... I just saw my first ford gt today. Not as nice as the carrera gt, but in sedalia MO its rather strange. I gotta say, its low and sounds good. Not worth 120 G's, I'd say 80-90 tops.

I havent seen any Carrera GT on the street either. All I see is my neighboors Ferrari's and a Lambo in the mall that was usually in the restaurant(i believe he owns the restaurant).
