Gas Cap Problem- Need Help Please!!

Hi so this is what happened.

Recently my remote stoped responding, the LED light still blinks and I've searched the forums and did the "porsche tech fix" by putting the bat in reverse for 3 seconds then switching it back, no luck. Next, I tried putting the key in the ignition then pressing the buttons thinking it might be the 10 day shut off. Still no luck.

I'm thinking this is just bad luck and I'll get it looked at, but when I pull into a gas station, my gas cover (the part thats painted and part of the car body) will not budge or open. I tried looking inside for some sort of manual release but cannot find one. My car now is parked with very little gas in it (prolly 1/10 of a tank) and the light warning is on. I dont know if it will make it to the dealer.

Can someone PLEEEASE help me!!, I'm not sure if im blind and cant find the manual release or if the two are even related to each oter. I never had a problem with the gas cover until my remote stopped working.

2003 Boxster....... thanks for any help in advance!

Open the passenger door. Right above the front hinge is a wire with a loop. Pull this wire and your gas cap will release. Happened to me on my '03 S.

Wow, that just made my day. Thank you so much.

Any chance you guys know anything about the remote not working? I heard the receiver is under the driver seat... anything I can do to fix it?
Thanks in advance again.
