Shifter cable replacement

Hi guys,

I am in the middle of replacing the shifter cables on my 2000 boxster S 6 speed. I have the old cables out but now looking at the new numeric racing cables there appears no way to get the new reverse cable through the tiny brake tunnel under the center console. I have not found anything on this online, any suggestions? Do I have to remove the hand brake assembly?

Thanks.

Yes. Only 4 nuts and the back right is a two part bolt. Real easy

Posts?

Are 2 of these nuts those taller post looking bolts that have threads inside them? Sorry I don't know the name of them. If those are them then I am assuming I just use a deep socket to get them out?

Thanks for the reply!

Geoff

on my 2000 s, one cable was routed around instead of through.
