Central locking Problems
 

So I couldnt find my exact problem for my 986 so posting it here. Basically I have an Austraia spec 1997 986 which does not have keyless entry just a single key no buttons. I recently purchased the car and noticed that the central lockig does not work at all as in I have to unlock both door manual and lock the manually. Even the button on the dash does not do anything and it will light up red when one of the doors is locked and I can press it and hear some mechanical noise but not in the door so it has no function at all.
Any help would be appreciated

Can you get a pic of the option tag under the frunk? Then we can see if it originally had anti-theft or not.
