Crinkly noise when turning after steering wheel removal/reinstall

Hello,
I have a broken turn signal and before buying the part I wanted to make sure I could remove everything. I removed everything ok and put everything back on. Seems fine except for one thing. When I'm turning the steering wheel it makes this kind of crinkly noise. It's not that loud but I know it shouldn't be doing that. I'll guess it's the clockspring? Any ideas?
Thanks!!!!!!
