rear windscreen rattle

My plexiglass rear wind deflector has rattled for years. You obviously can't hear it when the top is down, but it drove me nuts when the top and windows were up. After way too many years, I took it out this weekend (cleaned it), wrapped the sockets at the top where it locks in with some foam insulation, slipped (forced) it back into place and no more rattle... what took me so long???

Glad that you were able to resolve the issue without too much trouble; if there are any other fixes that you're going to be working on, take a look at the link below to our site's DIY tech articles on the 986 platform. Please let us know if you have any questions!

I had the same issue, and used self-adhesive backed Velcro strips (about 1/2" long of the "fuzzy" half of the Velcro) stuck on the bottom of the roll bar. Problem solved!

Mine rattled for a while and I added some strips of rubber bands to the bottom of the roll bar and it worked for a while, wedged in tight, the real problem is the attachment clips were worn and nice member here showed me these were available from pelican
