986 Top not locking into place.
 

I bought a used top with a glass window because it was in fantastic shape for a great price.
I paid a shop to install the roof.
When I picked it up it was locked into position, and looked great.
I put the top down and drove for hours.
Later that day when closing the top, it will not latch into the notch correctly.
It does not allow the hook to enter far enough into the hole to allow me to lock it into position.

The owner of the shop is away until September the 10th.

Any hints as to what to do?

I figgered out the issue.
My old latch would stay in the open position, allowing the locking finger to protrude further out than when it is locked.
The new latch stays in the locked position, not allowing the finger to enter into the locking hole in the windscreen.
I have to manually open the latch on the new roof.


And to think I haven't driven her for two days because of this issue.
