Yes. According to Porsche, you are in the 1% failure class as opposed to almost 10 times worse for some 2000 to 2004.

The transmission type (manual vs automatic) does not, in itself, make any difference in regards to IMS concerns.
There are some anecdotal statements that a manual might be better for IMS longevity because the driver typically can maintain higher rev's which might provide better IMS lubrication in some situations, but I've never seen any actual data to back this up. |
