The Missing Switch

I have the rear boot stripped out as I have just replaced the cooling expansion tank in my 2000S .a good time to find the emergency latch release cable I thought . What I found is a white cable which goes to wired in actuator and no emergency release cable at all .Now I have looked everywhere for the switch to make this latch operate , does anyone have any idea where it should be or wired in because I can't find it

No switch. It is wired to the immobilizer and is actuated when the key transmitter trunk open button is pressed. ;)
