Hi my first post .Have a 986 boxster ,with abs light on bought the necessary code readers . Read codes front speed sensor fault . Cleared code checked no codes showing. Many times carried out procedures to clear abs light .but light has stayed on . Any help please Paul

The ABS wiring loom goes across the steering column and eventually it wears thin. This could be the reason... also have your battery tested as a dying battery can cause many strange issues.

Have u checked ur battery? Mine was failing and I was getting the abs light. Replaced battery, reset light and never came on since.

What code reader are you using. A non Porsche specific one basic one won't give you all the codes

Measure the resistance of the wheel sensors. It could be one going bad
They should all be aropund the same, 1.6k ohm IIRC

I had a abs failure a little while ago and it was on sensor that was bad and it read significantly lower in resistance than the others

I ought a used on on ebay for ~ $35 and all is good now

Are the ABS Wheel Speed Sensors the same on all four wheels on a Boxster S ?
