19" wheels good or bad for a 2000 S ?
Got an opportunity for some 997 turbo wheels, but unsure of how it'll effect the ride, how would the fitment be, any rubbing issues, what size tires to go for, or should I not even go for 19" wheels at all...
Size Front: 19x8.5 +57mm
Size Rear: 19x11.0 +51mm
I have a 2000 S.
Currently have stock suspension, but will be installing bilstein shocks w/ ROW springs. Any info would be greatly appreciated!
How she sit's as of now

Here is my 2000 S with the same wheels. No problems with rubbing, ride or fitment.
I believe the rears are only 9.5" though.
Front tires are 235/35/19s
Backs are 275/30/19s less than 11" wide.

Here's my base 2000 with replica turbo wheels. 19 in the rear, 18 in the front. I haven't decided if I like this look or not, but they were on the car when I bought it.

This is probably gonna be the route I need to go as well, having the fender's rolled. I see your car is lowered, can I asked what you have installed? What your rear camber is set at? I don't think the front wheels will have issues, But the rears might...

Ceika Coilovers. I still don't cruise so low since I still rub on the bumper. The camber isn't bad. Stock arms. I couldn't change the camber tho since the tires tuck just well.

So I Googled "rolled fenders" .... yikes! No thanks. I have read on this site that as you move to 19" and up, the ride deteriorates considerably. With 18"s I can feel more road than with any other vehicle I've driven.

I have 19" BBS R9 wheels on my 99. I'm running Michelin Super Pilots. Fronts are 19-255/35, Rears are 19" 285/30. They don't rub on anything. I have enough room in the rear to go to 300/30 on the back.
It handles very well, albeit the ride is...well, "firm".
