Need torque specs for front control arms
I have searched the net and this is what I have found, please advise if correct
Control arm (Tuning fork) both ends 118 lbs Bolt below sway bar. 48 lbs Bolt that goes into frame 74 lbs This is for an 06 Boxster,not sure if it matters Thx Warren |

Replaced these on my 01 last month. Used the numbers from the Bentley manual. Not sure the bolts are the same but don't see why they would be different. Your numbers look about the same but I can verify what I used if you're interested.

Sorry NewArt ,(Thx for the numbers) but I'm not that techy,regarding the info u gave in the chart above.Can u advise what part is what torque based on my info .I just know what bolts to remove to get the Control arm replaced.There are 2 bolts on the Control arm itself one at the U (with a nut near the wheel) and one at the bushing or ball joint.(other end) Then it looks like there are 2 that need to be cracked loose to get the arm out.One looks to go into the frame (At end of Boomarang bracket I believe its called)and one or two (cant recall) go to the Stabilizer Bar Bracket/bushing.
Can u advise again based on the way I have explained.Much Thx |
