Cruise control upgrade: Run wires to -> DME or Instrument Gauge Cluster?

How would i wire the cruise control connectors in case of a MY01 Boxster (and here comes the undocumented part:rolleyes:) with a 996 2004 instrument gauge cluster: to DME/Motronic (101 projects says to run wires to the DME) or not at all in case of my '04 Instrument Gauge Cluster (which has the cc already integrated)?

I wonder why I always end up with the tricky questions? :D
