Converted 2000 Boxster S to 2003/2004 style console
 

I wanted that darn cup holder. So far I am loving it.

Since you now have an excellent knowledge of the dash internals of both a 2000 and a 2003, ...
Would it have been possible to switch the dashboard and reinforcing bar (to get the glove box), while retaining the original center stack (with the slanted switches in the 3 part horseshoe), and the original center duct arrangement?
In other words, kind of the opposite of what you did.

Nice work, as the owner of a 2003 who broke one of the moving plastic bits within the cupholder ring, let me tell you those parts are fragile! Watch out what you put in the cupholders!

You'll love it until you try finding a 2003/04 cup holder. They are stupid expensive because the face plate breaks easily
