 Changed the ignition cylinder...

		Man, was it fried....
Tried on Saturday to it under the dash, but I am simply too tall. I have bruises on my head and arm. Under the dash, I was able to get the inferior screw loose, but couldn't see or get to the top one. After 1 hour of trying to do it, I gave up... Today, I decided to go through the left side of the dash, taking off the vent and headlight switch assembly. Still a PITA, but much, much easier. Took about 40 minutes today. Here's a pic of the ignition cylinder. http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1498178237.jpg |

Yeah, I'm 6'1" and had to go through the vent as well. I hope to never have to do that again

You did it the right way...Like anything else, its not a bad deal second time around.

Vent is the way to go unless you have one of those Mission Impossible harnesses suspended from the ceiling.

 One question

Since changing the cylinder. My key is a little stickier going into the tumbler. Doesn't insert as easily into the tumbler portion, not the cylinder itself.
	Is that normal? |

The tumblers are in the lock cylinder.
Did you replace the lock cylinder or the ignition switch? Your post is confusing. :p If you just replaced the ignition switch, it should not have affected the lock cylinder. |
