According to the filter interchange the Wix filter you have is correct. It is physically different due to the different construction material. For your ease of mind as long as the od fits in the cannister, the length end to end is the same and the ids are the same then Rock the new and better NAPA Gold filter.
You can verify fit by taking the new Wix and place it without the canister on it's boss on the engine, It will take a little to push on and will hang in place without falling off.
