Excellent Spoiler Mod (EASY)

I don't know about anyone else but my Boxster had black plastic on the spoiler that wasn't painted and it was faded and ugly. So I taped the area off and put some gloss enamel black and thinner in my spray gun and painted it. The "main" reason I did this was that I am getting some cutom vinals put on next week and it would look like crap on top of that plasic. The graphic artist and I have been knocking some ideas around, but I think I will be getting the Porsche logo... but to spice it up we are putting tribal flames on each side. I was originaly thinking pinstriping but it would be to hard to see from a couple car lengths behind. Here is a sample, it might be the final design but we are still working on it. And here are some pics of the process, I will post the final product next week (probaly friday)

To match your decal...

The decal seems very Chopper-esque.

Hmm.. the flames just don't seem to fit right on this car. I'd say it looks more like a tattoo, or something I'd see out of West Coast Customs... or on a chopper maybe.

how about
"CURRENTLY BREAKING SPEED LIMIT"

"If you can read this BACK OFF!"

I like a simple PORSCHE in red lettering.

Why did you have to tape off the black plastic to paint it? Since it comes off in less than 5 minutes and three screws, wouldn't taking it out have been easier?

I didnt take it off because I didnt want to mess anything up, and where you say 3 screws, all I see is 3 rivets. Red wont work because the red vinal they have is nasty colored for some reason. I am getting it done at creative car audio, they have a graphic cutting machine and stuff. I am getting it in silver (I had them do my "eyebrow" so it will be kinda like that), but they also have chrome, white, yellow, blue, green, etc... They make sure to curve it just right so it follows the line (look at the windshield). I still have 2 more Porsche vinals, if you want one pm me, one is completely straight and the other is curved a little, the one we put on my car is curved a little more than my other curved one, but I am sure with a couple relief slits you could make it perfect. But if the designs we make dont look up to par, then I will go with Boxster or Porsche. But personaly, I kind of really want to get I "heart" boobs, but my girlfriend would probaly get mad at me.

How do you take off the rivets without messing it up? Is there a page that shows how take off the plastic pieces?
