2004 550 SE No. 0227 is No More

This is my favorite Boxster..... and this one is gone at only 34,000 miles. I found that qualityporscheparts is parting it out then found the below photo on the net. What a loss. Hope the driver was alone and walked away.

I knew I felt a disturbance in the force...

this is really sad, I have the same model and it's weird seeing it destroyed.

OTOH, I could use some of those parts as backups

Looks like it was a lurid skid (front wheel rim peeled off) with a side impact into a pole base or bridge support, etc. My friend's 914 looked simliar after he slid it into a concrete bridge siding.

Hope everyone made it out ok.

The shifter knob is listed for $200. You could get it for $150.

The cluster is listed for $400, you could get it for $300.

The SE tail pipe is listed for $100, you could get it for $75. It does have some scratches like most used ones do. Wasn't there a member here looking for one?

The SE interiors make stock interiors look downright pedestrian. And my 97 has the full leather trim option.

Whatever somebody hit, that was a rude, fast, abrupt stop. I would not want to get twisted over the center console like that. Probably break a rib or two.
