My favorite eBay vendor

I recently bought a part from qualityporscheparts, my second favorite used parts source after Woody. I had ordered a Right side part for about $200 and the Left side part was shipped accidentally. It arrived very quickly, but I didn't take time to unbox it 'till the next day. I notified them thru eBay that I had the wrong part. The response came back that they had already shipped the correct one, and I could just keep the one sent in error. The replacement part still arrived within what would be a normal shipping time for the original order! Great customer service and a good selection of quality used parts.

Interesting...I made a couple of offers on some parts and the response on both was to offer them for a few dollars under the BIN price. I sent a message asking why they were using Best Offer when the best offer counter was just a few dollars under the starting price. In response to that I was blocked from making offer/buying parts at full price and even contacting them..Not my idea of a great place to do business.

I have used this seller. Positive experience.

I guess your offer wasn't their "best offer". :p
They generally take 75% of asking price and I would think asking why your offer wasn't good enough may have been viewed as a little rude.

I don't buy a lot from them...maybe 4 or 5 things over the past few years.
Got my 3 spoke airbag for $200, which was a steal. :)

Same here. Woody is my go-to guy; qualityporscheparts next, and they accept a reasonable "offer".

Just sayin'...........

I have bought plenty of parts from them. Always fast delivery and the parts are exactly as described.

achillies 04-18-2017 07:14 AM

Just seems a little extreme to completely block me because they didn't like my question about their counteroffer.

Funny you posted this - I just bought something from them yesterday.

RedTele58 04-18-2017 08:38 AM

You have to watch their "Best Offer" items. Id it's NOT already marked down, they will usually take 75%. If it IS marked down, you'll notice it's marked down 25%. They won't go lower than that.

Sorry that achillies had a bad deal with them. Next to Woody, they are my "go to" guys.

I've had good luck with them as well. I always offer 75% of their price and have yet to be turned down. Fast shipping and sturdy packaging. I've had good luck with Woody too. He even drove up and delivered my parts (he was coming up anyway)

Thanks for the recommendations guys. I've never had to buy anything from Mike but I send people his way all the time. Only ebay seller I would trust

Woody is my first stop for many parts. But, qualityporscheparts is outstanding. Their prices are very fair, they are honest and their shipping is first class.

Here is a list of parts I have bought from them for my Boxster;

Porsche Sport Exhaust (PSE)
996 Aluminum (White) Face Gauge Cluster (X71)
996 Leather Instrument Surround
Leather Door Panels
Aluminum & Leather E-Brake Handle
Aluminum & Leather Shift Knob
Leather Air Bag

By the way.... qualityporscheparts also has a non-eBay web page. Their prices are less that the ones on eBay.

If Woody doesn't have what I need, I always try QualityPorscheParts next and I always suggest people try them in that order when looking for good used parts at a fair price.

I picked up a rear bumper cover from them last year for $525. It was in perfect condition, in the exact color and trim I needed, came well packed, and I had it in under a week (with free freight shipping from AZ to GA).

I also picked up a set of spinlocks from them for $30 shipped.

HINT: for anyone looking for spinlocks - search for 986 convertible brackets and check to see if they have spinlocks installed. If so, you'll get the spinlocks and retaining bolts for the price of the brackets. When they arrive, pull the spinlocks and toss the brackets.

Achilles - My guess is that they had already discounted the item (many of their items are "on sale") and they hadn't changed the minimum acceptable offer price which may have been 25% less than the original listing price. I'm not sure how the "on sale" process works on ebay, but if it's automated that might explain it. As far as blocking you after asking them about it, that seems a bit extreme to me. One of the bad things about email is that the emotion behind an email may often be misinterpreted by the recipient. A simple question about something might be misconstrued as being an attack. I'd give them a call and explain that you weren't trying to be an asshat, that it just seemed like a waste of everyone's time to offer a "best offer" that was only a few $$s less than the listed price. Then ask them to unblock you. They are a great resource for used parts and it would be a shame to lock yourself out of that because of what might just be a miscommunication. When I've spoken with them on the phone they seemed very nice. Just my 2 cents (and worth as much)...

My experience with them has always been positive. The parts have always been 100%. On several item my best offer was taken with no extra haggling and I've also combined items to get a better price.

I have bought a couple of things from qualityporscheparts, with zero problems.

i got a good deal on a set pf BBS wheels as a matter of fact for 75% of asking.

How do I buy from Woody? Does he have a website with listed parts?
