Thermostat Changed! Temp Gauge not working.

Swallowing some man pride,... I was an idiot. We moved to a resort in central Oregon and we had one of the coldest winters in years and my car froze. -2002 Boxster

The Good:

1. Changed the thermostat yesterday.

2. No leaking of coolant.

3. Cooling fans work.

The Bad:

1. Temp gauge not working.

2. No Heat.

3. Warning light flashing

- I replaced the water pump about 7-ish months ago.

Thoughts? or advice would be greatly appreciated. Please help!

About me: I'm no mechanic, but I've always done my own work big or small. My father was a master mechanic.

Sounds like you have an air pocket in the system, did you refill it under vacuum?

I did not, bubbled and bled it. Would that explain the temp gauge not working?

It's on the opposite side from the therm so doubtful you knocked it loose.

Worth a quick plug and unplug.
