fog lights to drl's to 6000k canbus?
local law states i need DRL's so i did the fog light mod but the yellow incandescent bulbs look like ****************.
now i am not looking for street illumination (i have headlights for that) i just want i nice white 6500k'ish bulb as a DRL . do i need a canbus compliant LED for this or will a regular one do? |
I think most LED H7's are canbus compliant. They are all over eBay. They will suit it fine. And most are 6000k too

I agree with the above; go with an H7 LED from China. Very cheap and they DON'T last. I have gone thought several sets. I look at it as a maintenance item now. I buy four at a time. Still, they work and are pretty cheap.
Be very careful using the stock H7 HID fog light as a DRL. After driving for some time get out and feel the lens over the lamp. It will be hot. Hot enough that in time you'll ruin your headlight's by causing a brown spot on the lens. |
ordered thanks
