As Jeremy Clarkson would say, Porsche has the laziest designers in the world. :P

It looks like they just changed the read tail lights and added some chrome bits around.

Still, it doesn't look half bad, the 911 is turning into a more prettier car every generation.

I saw one upclose today in Colorado Springs. Very nice. I really like the LED's. I don't like the color matched sat. radio receiver.

The front end is very different. Much more air is directed into the vent area for the radiators. The center vert area is much more functional in this process.

385 HP (997S) and just over 300 torque.

I guess it's always the detail toches that changes with the 911 then huh.

Is this still going to be called the 997 or is it getting a new name?

Lordblood, still a 997...always a 911.

Other Porsche car Forums refer to them as following:

997-1 Series (MY2005-MY2008)
997-2 Series (MY2009-)

The best option I have seen is the new vented leather seats. Only $800. I would gladly spend this much just for the driver's seat.

One other thing, Porsche increased (due to EU laws) the size of the exterior side mirrors. They look too big IMHO on a car that small and sleek. They would be better suited for an SUV.

I would expect that we will be seeing these larger mirrors on the Boxster too.

Looks like someone put street glow in the front bumper.

Blink, these are the LED's. I like 'em. They serve the funtion as DRL's too. Good for safety and visibility.

I just think that their cars have a timeless beauty, and that's what I like about them. So if that means the designers are lazy, so be it.
