Shift knob refurbish

If this is in the wrong section, my apologies.

I am looking to replace my shifter and I have this one as a spare. I actually like this one much better and was thinking that it would be nice if I could refurbish it to look good. The leather has some small cuts and the knob itself is worn somewhat and the silver trim has seen better days.

Pretty sure I could refurb the trim piece to look pretty good. But I am having difficulties with the leather. I have contacted some folks who make shift boots and asked about Savannah Beige and they sent samples but none of the samples were correct.

Has anyone refurbished one of these and if so, where can you get the correct leather? I did do a search and found someone had redone a standard black shifter like I have in the car now but that didn't help me much.

I know Suncoast and others have these new but I really can't see paying the new price for one.

Thanks

Dave

Thanks Chris,

I had never heard of either of those sites. This is why this forum is so great!

I am checking them out now.

Custom steering wheels did a great job. Alan was very responsive.

I have repainted the horseshoe trim but not sure if I am going to install it or not. I think the shifter looks good as is for now.

Not sure why my picture is rotated or how fix it.
