Have you ever thought that that is exactly what your car wants you to do to it? And therefore it's just behaving because it loves it. You're supposed to just drive the piss out of it, wash it, put it away.... and repeat.

Salami, I think you're right. However, for about a year or more of ownership, I spent every waking moment repairing the car or finding the money to repair the car and it wasn't fun to drive it due to the breakage of something or another.

As far as the bad weather we had down here on Monday, I was smart enough to buy a house in the highest part of Houston, called The Heights. Plus, my house is 4 feet off the ground on a peir and beam foundation. Of course, the Porschehaus (my garage) is on ground level, but the drainage is quite good into the alley, so I was fine.

Now hundreds of mostly lower income people who live about 20 minutes from my house got flooded out, and I doubt 5% of them had rising water insurance on their homes... it's hell to be poor and this kind of insurance is not only expensive, but not offered in any location where flooding has occurred in the past.

I just save $200 on my car insurance

(moved to a gated community where other Porsches sleep).
