Went and looked at this one. Reasonable car for $. Dealer is pretty straight up.
The bad: Usual bumper rash. Drivers door handle looks replaced (?). Painted seat backs and roll bar rashed each other pretty good. Has the double din optical cable PCM Nav unit that can't be brought current on maps and will need a total system rewire to replace. No rear speakers. Didn't see 030 anywhere on options sticker, so unless it is automatically included for the 550, the ad is likely wrong. The headlight washers sit funny. The painted SE wheels have uneven paint in the barrels, like a respray with poor masking. The caps on the seatbelt retention straps are missing. No IMS replacement. But... well-optioned low miles SE with clear headlights, ok paint & top, and good leather, plus new rear pirellis. Someone is coming from ATL now (in the rain) to likely buy it. His price is fixed after all the long distance interest shown. So: If you want it hit BIN button on ebay. Straight shot down the road a couple of miles to get a PPI at a qualified indie with PIWIS. Fyi...
....for those who aren't familiar with these cars.
They have electronic stability control, the US "Sport" suspension, basically the ROW with US ride height, those 18's are Carrera wheels and they were made by BBS and they are the lightest OEM wheels ever offered on the 986. You get the 550 exhaust tip, the Carrera GT Silver paint, which at the time (2004) was only offered on the Carrera GT and and a couple special edition 911s. This was before it became an optional paint color on generic 911s. And then there's that EPIC sexual chocolate interior. Yowza! http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1486509614.jpg |
