Clear Lens 3rd Brake Light

Seeking experience and recommendations as to best unit to fit 986

All 986 clear third brake lights fit and I'm fairly certain that there is only one Taiwanese maker, so...

Yeah, I got think I got mine off of eBay. The box says Huntington Technologies. Pretty sneaky of those Taiwanese [emoji6]

Fits and works well. The old unit was a little fiddley to remove, though.

I wasn't aware of that, but I prefer the clear look. If it yellows in a few years, I'll just buy another one as it didn't cost that much. Of course, I still have the OEM red.

Going to work on fitting a 987 unit. I think the only difference is in the wiring connector. Going to look into that more since I have a 987 on hand to try. ;)

Not sure how many years is "over the years"

Mine's about 5 years old with no signs of yellowing. Car is garage kept and is rarely parked in the sun if that makes any difference. One bank of lights did go out last year (1/3 of the lights). Mine was from Ebay, about $90 as I remember.

And I too prefer the clear on my Arctic Silver Boxster.
