Noise from rear

I had my 09 Boxster out the other day and I thought i heard a scraping noise coming from behind me. The car was running fine so I thought maybe it was the seat rubbing against the console. The noise seemed to get a little worse as the day went on. When I got home i let the car run and walked around it. From the outside it sounds more like a clanging noise and seemed to be coming from underneath the car in front of the rear passenger wheel. Is there anything there that can be loose? I have been sick and it was cold so I didn't get under the car to see. Muffler clamp maybe?

Thanks.

Dan

Take it to your Indie and get it up in the air to inspect .He'll probably diagnose and estimate on the spot - before anything drops off!

had the same thing a few years back (few...many) that at first i thought might be the heat shield. turned out to be a bolt wasn't tightened after i replaced the alternator...
