Move A Hardtop California To Virginia
Is anyone moving from Northern California (Stockton/Sacramento) to Virginia this summer?
I found a hardtop for sale in Calfornia that I would like to bring to Virginia. (I'd be willing to meet you anywhere in Virginia to retrieve it.) As an alternative, does anyone know a good shipper in the Stockton area who would pack and ship the hardtop for a reasonable price? I need to minimize the inconvenience to the seller. I "Googled" logistics in the Stockton area, but none of the companies listed were interested in my business. Thanks |
Let me tell you one thing about Stockton...everything there is stolen or broken. Have you called the "owner" to discuss the condition its in? I would try to have a short conversation with the owner to ensure it is his or hers,Stockton isn't a place you would find any Porsches besides 944s.

Hardtop
I don't know what you plan to spend but I have just ordered a Zeintop for my 986.. waiting for it to arrive. I saw one in Switzerland in Feb and fell in love. I nearly sold my Boxster S for a Cayman S but with this roof I don't need the coupe anymore!

ctboxster, how were you able to order the Zeintop ? I did not know it was available for purchase yet ? Do they have a US distributor ? Also, do you know if you need to remove the rear trunk before you attach the top ?
Thanks ! Nick |
AFAIK, Zeintops aren't available in US yet, darn it!
