Oil cartrige cutter
Awhile back someone mentioned a cutter for cartrige type filters. (Yes I tried search) It sounder like a large tubeing cutter. Any one know who sells them? Thanks in advance, Bruce

Basically, you are correct. As with all tools, some are better made than others. Do a search for "oil filter cutters" on sites like Amazon and you will find what you need. My personal favorite is the Proform 66490; incredibly well made with replacement cutter blades.

Thanks, JFP - I made a mess cutting my last filter by hand. Need to pick one of those up.

I can also recommend the Proform cutter from Amazon. They sent it to me here in Australia & it arrived in less than 8 days plus it works very well.
It'll probably out last me.... |
The ProForm Filter Cutter and the Longacre Filter cutter
I would think a oil filter wrench would make turning easy! https://youtu.be/GJI_EZd4obE https://youtu.be/aUbVGLu49ag https://youtu.be/kC5w8qeiLq4 |

I ordered this one from Amazon:
Longacre 77750 Oil Filter Cutter, $65. Attachment 20600 It is well made and works great. Some reviews complain that the shaft for the cutter is a threaded bolt. But, it appears to have no impact on operation. Opens filters like butter. |
