Cheap HF Cent-tech code reader

Hello, I have a fleet of vehicles that I use this cheap reader for codes and resets. Does this one work for general Readiness codes on 986? I'm beginning to wonder if I'm missing a pin or that this reader just doesn't see proprietary Porsche data.

Reason I ask is I'm having issue with SAI not going ready and I've driven over 500 mi, its, gone thru multiple Cold starts, all vacuum hoses are good. I've done a reset at 500 mi ago and still after 500 more, no go. I understand that it can take a long time as I've asked this question before and many have expressed that it takes miles. I don't want to invest in $$ diagnostics.

Can anyone verify that these cheap readers work for you, just specifically for SAI? All the 7 other readiness go ready within 2 drive cycles. At what point or Miles should one look into possible problems with the changeover valve? Has anyone heard of SAI going ready after 500 mi? Can anyone verify at what point during the drive cycle the SAI actually gets checked? I thought it only does it during a cold start once a day.

I've done searches for days and no one really seems to know what time this happens. The only 2 things I keep hearing is during cold start and or driving many miles. Thanks, and frustrated.

I can't find it. There is a very detailed procedure for setting the car. All speed, distance and time related. It was a post +/-10 months ago.

This thread might help. I had to get all my readiness codes set for an inspection not long ago. There's links in the thread that helped me get all mine in order.
Passed!...
