There's gotta be medication for this...

I have had this PORSCHE lettering on my trunk since 2010. At the time, Porsche only put these on the Panamera, so I ordered a set and slapped em on my trunk not thinking much about the spacing cause the letters seemed too widely spaced they way they were on the Panamera I thought. I was happy with the application for all these years until I started recently paying more attention to how the factory has been spacing them wider and at a perceived curve. See them on Boxsters, Caymans, and 911s at recent cars and coffee events on weekends, and they're all spaced wider. Great, now my placement looks all wrong to me now!...I MUST correct this! :D

Order another darned lettering set. Floss off the old letters, clean off residue with Goo Gone, jury rig a new spacing template based off the one on the lettering strip from Porsche, and wala...all is right in the world again! :)

Haha, thx...I was gonna repurpose them and apply on my garage wall for decoration, but if I don't end up doing so, they are yours!

Garage sounds like a plan!!

I ended up compromising - letters on a curve but not as close together as the new cars. I think I put them 1/8" closer to each other compared to what Porsche do.http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1479341282.jpg

The black letters look nice!...Don't get me thinking again!! ;)

I like how you put the appropriate letter on the template so you don't have a "Chefs" moment.

I had mine laser-cut in matte silver... I don't think the chrome looks right when there is no other chrome on the car.

Nice. My exhaust and wheels have high polish on em though, which looks like chrome! :)

FauxDiablo, Where did you purchase the matte silver letters? They look great.
