HomeLink and Remote Lock Issues

Both of my '06 CS keys seem to have a weak signal. I have to be at the car (I mean holding the remote almost against the driver's window) to get it to lock or unlock the car. Same for the trunks. I replaced the batteries in both keys but had no improvement in operation.

Not sure if this is related but my HomeLink is similar. I have to position myself in one spot, close to the garage door, to have it activate.

With both the locks and the garage door it sometimes takes several attempts, even at close range, to activate.

The car has 17K miles. Could it be the car's battery? I believe it is the factory battery.

thanks

Two houses and different garages and I still cant get my home link to program correctly. As for your keys how old is the battery? Have you had it tested for a bad cell? My CS keys work at a far greater range than my boxster key could ever hope to. If this issue is new then I would look at the battery in the car since you already did keys.
