Vehicle Rarity?

I have searched for similar posts and have only found production numbers for each year. Is there a place we can go to find actual build numbers of a particular vehicle from the build sheet of options?

I only ask because I have never seen another triple black with sport package and 18" BBS.

The answer is...

....42.

:p

Is triple black - black exterior, interior and top??
If so I have triple grey with BBS
If you count my hair then it's a quadruple grey

Not sure about where to find numbers but black is a common color, I had a triple black 99 before my current car and I test drive a triple black S when I was looking for my current car. (None of the above had BBS rims though!)

I have a '98 that was special ordered by a lady locally with a specific color combination and sport package. I'm told that the color, Ocean Jade Metallic, it not very common. I reached out to PCNA, and they told me they do not track the cars imported with this level of detail. I was a little disappointed, because it would be fun to know how many made it over in that color, or better yet, with the specific options the car was special ordered with. I actually have the special order form that was used when the car was spec'd out.

I hope we don't start sub-forums based on options.

If you want to feel special and rare then take your Porsche to a BMW race event :p

Considering Porsche offers one of the most extensive option lists of any automaker I am sure there are a lot of "unique" 986's around, but I don't think you will be able to find any specific information or list.

If you would have said i have a stock triple pink 986 with pink BBS rims and pink carbon interior parts and that you are a hairdresser, maybe i would have been impressed.

But triple black - pretty common.

Regards, Markus :D

ocean jade metallic

I did find a site with this information. There were 47 1998 Boxsters made in ocean jade metallic, a $805 option. I own one, with a 5-speed of course.

Do you have a link to that site?

I have an anti-option I have never seen before, no courtesy lights on my interior door panels. Saves weight I guess :)

I have the 3rd arctic silver black/black. I believe they stopped at 3. Not enough demand unfortunately. Now prized for its uniqueness. Weird how thAt happens.
