I am just shy of 169k. Few minor engine issues with O2 sensors.

FloridaBill search his posts. He was up to 320k miles two years ago on a 2003 if memory serves. He maintained strict servicing practices, appeared to follow the service manual by the letter....even insisting on the same dealership mechanic each time he brought it in.

My son has my old 02 S. Currently at 167k miles. I still do most of the maintenance on the car.
- IMS replaced at 140k. Old IMS seemed to show no wear.
- AOS changed twice

So Stelan and Flores, are you guys still running your original dual row ims bearing? I just bought my first Boxster, a 1999 base with 53,000. I love the car. No issues at all in the 600 miles so far.

my 2001 base box has 225,000+ miles.

note: engine was replaced at 129,666 with a donor that had 35,000 miles.

still a daily driver.

except that the CEL came on. passed smog on saturday...with a new non-porsche gas cap. then on the following tuesday the CEL comes on!

could it be the gas cap????

Yes, it is probably the gas cap. I had the same thing happen last month when I replaced the cap with a Stant gas cap and got a P0455 cel. I replaced it with an OEM cap and the cel has not come back.
