I remember that milestone.

jb92563 10-26-2016 06:50 AM

Thats ~128 miles per week, probably 1-3 days of driving per week so a weekender or couple weekday commutes of grin producing fun. Nice!

I'm creeping up there myself at about 85k miles.

Time for a more serious 100K maintenance?

particlewave 10-26-2016 08:07 AM

Nice!

I'm not far behind...96k.

Chuck W. 10-26-2016 08:18 AM

Very cool. I am right behind you. I'll be hitting 30,000 pretty soon!

fanguy 10-26-2016 10:40 AM

Very nice, the 100k club is 5 to 7 years away for me:)

dghii 10-26-2016 04:12 PM

Congrats! You're in the club!

stelan 10-26-2016 05:49 PM

Congrats! I have over 200k and still running great!

Jager 10-26-2016 07:23 PM

Kudos to Stelan but the rest of you need to drive your Boxsters more.

Pretty nice! I'm sure your Indy in Austin must be pretty happy to keep your car on the road at 200k. I'm located south of you in SA..and of course south of you in miles as well lol Once I find a great Indy, I may be more likely to put more miles on my Boxster.

kk2002s 10-27-2016 04:34 AM

Still in diapers @ 90.5k miles
2-3 years from that milestone mark
Maybe it's time to sell while it can get those big $$$ for a less than 100k mile category

tomonomics 10-27-2016 05:47 AM

I just turned 50k, so it will be a while before I roll up to 100. I get in around 5k per year of seat time.

bwdz 10-27-2016 06:18 AM

Man, my 97 has 66k on it, I am way behind but it's because I have a few other cars I enjoy.

Deserion 10-27-2016 08:37 PM

Over 117k here.

Actually my Indy is very happy as my Indy is me, lol
No one has touched my Boxster in a long time but me

I bought my 99 in San Antonio a while ago.

Indy, lol :D

I would be ashamed if I ever took my car to a mechanic.

Cbonilla 10-28-2016 07:45 AM

Don't get too cocky. Just a year ago I posted the same milestone on my 2003 S. This fall, and 6k miles later I had a catrosphic failure that has all the hallmarks of IMS

I can never be comfortable driving this car. I can't listen to 2-3 songs without muting to make sure the engine isn't eating itself

The other day I drove 6 hours, car ran great, pull into gas station and while waiting in line a freaking CEL pops up. It was a 442 which I get from time to time especially if I've gotten gas during the day but still this car never lets me relaxe

Before this I had never had the pleasure of listening to an engines's valves meeting the pistons. I hope to never hear that sound again

Pilot2519j 10-31-2016 02:18 PM

I'
m approaching the mark myself. 99,662miles I still can't get enough of the car. I love it.

So here I post again in this topic less than 2 years later. I'm on the edge, about 80 miles away from the big 100k, sooner than I thought. I do think that people look at a car differently when its over 100k.
So I have to be very cognoscente and have my camera ready so I get a milestone pic, probably my next drive

Jager 04-25-2018 07:19 PM

High Miles

Just ignore the numbers in the picture... But your picture should look something like this:

All the numbers look fine: 83 MPH, 3200 RPM, ~190ºF, 300,000 Miles and a minute past 4:20. . . . . .

DONE - All of a sudden she started riding like she is old - Weird
Probably shouldn't be taking photos while driving at 77 mph

Congrats and keep driving! I'm at 134.5K on my 2000S and it still feels new!

Boatin 05-02-2018 03:47 PM

My recently acquired 2003 Boxster S
211K kilometres = 131k miles

I think Jager is probably the King of high mileage Boxsters. I'm at 133,000 with my 01S. Bought it six years ago this month at 87,000. That's almost 7700/year with winter hibernation November through April.
