Winter Storage

I don't really store the car for the winter as I take it out on nice days however, if there are no nice day s it just sits. I never take it out in the snow so once it snows it usually sits for the rest of the season. It is garaged so I don't really have to worry about cold or the weather. However, If I am not using the car regularly would you think I should store the car with the top, down or doesn't matter?
Thanks.

BTW its a 1998 with a new top put on a little more than a year ago.

I don't think it makes a huge difference if you have a glass rear window, but if you have the plastic it is probably important to store it with the top up because of the impact from storing the window creased for extended time. Another consideration is that by keeping the top closed you limit the potential for interior damage from mice or any other small critters that might be able to get into the garage.

Top up. Even if you have a glass rear window, the fabric around it will end up having crease folds if left in down position for a long time. Also keeps dust and critters out as mentioned before.

If you have a plastic window leave the top up. Putting the top up/down below 65-70° F can risk cracking the plastic window.

Will probably leave it up, although the garage is attached to the house and I go out that way all the time. I like seeing it with the top down. also if I do take it out in the winter it's usually because it's a nice day and I can get away with a short ride with the top down. Garage really doesn't get cold enough that the window would crack. I wouldn't want to take it up and down outside though.
