Spoiler cover came off

I was at the track over the weekend and my spoiler cover was loose. :(
When I removed it, 3 of the 4 back tabs were broken.

Any thoughts on reattaching it?
I was thinking double sided tape and maybe a few screws or pop rivets on the back side

what!... How fast were you going?

SS rivets as the aluminums will get loose again too quickly in that application.
(assuming thats a metal tab to the metal spoiler parts)

Maybe make a deal with Gorilla Glue for some sponsorship and use that along with the rivets :p

Mine flew off the day after I bought the car in the highway =(

Had to buy another one from Ebay. Not sure how to proceed with broken tabs, I'm sure you can attach it somehow, tho

As Sammy Hagar said, "I can't drive 55" LOL

Good idea on using SS rivets. I'm thinking screws may be better in case I need to remove it one day. With that in mind, Gorella Glue is definitely out.

There is metal to rivet/screw into on the back side

I put caulking on the back side of mine. The 03-04 are prone to coming off because they don't have the rivets like the 97-02 spoiler cover's have.

caulking sounds like a good ide, that and some rivets or screws.
I'm thinking rivets as like you said, the earlier models used them
Maybe I'll find some small push rivets

Mine still had all the tabs ,so maybe some rivets wouldn't hurt for yours. Whatever you use, don't use something that's permanent because that cover might need to come off in the future

I think I have a Arctic Silver spoiler cover in my garage that was taken off when I had the Aero kit installed, ping me if interested.

I decided to pop rivet it back on.
Put 5 rivets on the back edge

Mine flew off while I was driving home after purchasing my 2003 Boxster. Can't find a replacement anywhere. Actually considering contacting the Porsche dealership but I hope it doesn't come to that!

They can be found on eBay from dismantlers.

I thought I read that you didn't have any of the later style...my mistake. :)

Lol no problem, just busting your balls. I have one right now but will need to look up what my competitors are asking for them and beat their price.
