aftermarket radio issues

Just got my first Porsche, 2003 2.7 Boxster. Radio/CD is aftermarket Sony but bit outdated. Took it out and swapped for another unit I use in a different motor. Wiring adaptor looks a bit botched. When I put it in I now have this problem on both units. Player starts with ignition on but as I pull away it turns off. When I come to a stop with engine on it turns back on then as soon as I pull away it turns off again. Same with both players. If I play with wiring shaking or pulling it it makes no difference. So no loose cabling. No idea what's going on. Any thoughts?

Thanks for the reply. I have no other electrical issues regarding starting the vehicle. Can this really cause such an isolated issue?
