Installing new top
I am having difficulty locating a source for a new piece of foam I think is needed to replace my top. In project 70 of the 101 projects book, page 229, pictures 5 & 6 is where this piece of foam goes (but on the top of what the pictures show (see attached pics for a better idea of where this foam goes). The 2 foam location pictures are from the drivers side of my 99 base. The "foam" pic is from the step-by-step instructions I have for removal and install of the top. If I cant find a source for new foam piece, can I make one out of a similar material or just go with what is currently in there (see pic)?

Man, I wish I could remember but I think those came with my new top. May be wrong. I do remember having new foam when I replaced my top a couple of years ago.

I used a sticky weather strip foam tape similar to what was on there. Picked mine up at ACE. Top has been solid now for three years.

Way to thick... If you can't find the thin sticky tape use a solid double sided carpet tape. You simply need to keep it in place.

Thanks all for the assist. I plan to use a piece of home door weather strip and replicate the original the best I can.
