The little Boxster and the Big Bad Ferrari

OK a bit of lead up to this encounter
Driving home from my Son's college soccer game early Saturday night (I drive this 200 mile round trip route a couple times a week during the season and it gets old, except when we use the Box). Once in awhile I get to drive myself, Saturday was such a trip.
So it's chilly, low 60s, Top down, Stereo loud, windows half up. I'm in the middle lane of a 3 lane hwy with the cruse control on at around 78 mph.
I see some very modern high end looking headlights, coming up on me in the Right Hand lane making a the move to pass me. Ahead in the Right lane is a bit slower car so of course I speed up just enough so the Speedy Right laner is going to have to go behind me and pass to my Left.
Well he gets behind me, moves back to the Right lane after passing the slower car.
Then he pulls up to me side by side deliberately matching my speed.
I ignore him, then finally look over and see RED and the Yellow Fender Prancing horse badge.
Oh S#!@ it's a freaking Ferrari. He just sits there, I have the stereo so loud I can just make out he's revving his motor. This goes on 20-30 seconds. Now I'm wondering what the hell is he doing. I give the thumbs up and now it's Flight or Fight.
So I figure lets see how fast that thing is, figuring as soon as I make any move he's going to eat me alive but I'm looking forward to seeing it go.
So I drop down to 5th, then 4th and up to 105 mph.
He doesn't follow, so I'm guessing he must have needed to exit.
So I don't know what his deal was and whether he just laughed at my fieable attempt to out run him
But all I know is this little piggy lived another day

Nice to push the boxster once in awhile to get it going.

Maybe he was simply trying to let you know the right hand is available to use.

Nothing like a little street racing to brighten ones' day!

I bet he was along side you longingly looking at what he could have bought that would have cost him a fraction of the money without the need to yank the motor every 10k miles for maintenance :)
