Spin-On Filters Inspections

Hi,
How many of you have the LN Spin-On Filter adapter installed?

Do you cut your spin-on filter open to check for debits on each oil change?
If so, what are you using to cut the metal filter?

We have a lot of customers running one. We use this

I have the LN filter adapter. I cut the filter open with a cutter, another forum member suggested, from Harbor Freight. It was cheap and works well but I cannot find it on their website anymore to post a link.

There are 2 types of cheap exhaust tailpipe cutters that may work.
1. like a Vise grip with 4 cutting wheels
2. a chain wrench with multiple smaller cutting wheels.
Autozone/Napa will have them

I bought one from Harbor Freight but it appears they no longer carry them.
