installed clear/red tail lights have a bulb question

I replaced the OEM 2002 S rear amber/red tail lights today with 2003-2004 clear/red . No big deal doing the swap and I really like the look. But I am still using the OEM clear turn signal bulb should I change that to a yellow bulb ? I turned on the blinkers after doing the swap and you can see them in the shaded garage but not sure how visible they will be in sun light . So is amber bulbs the way to go ?

I swapped the bulbs from my oem 2000 tail lights into the newer 03-04 oem lights and they are plenty visible. Congrats on the swap, booty prbly looks 5 years younger now! Haha

Hello rfuerst911sc,

i've used Philips silver vision bulbs. They have a chrome like coating, so you don't see them in the clear tail lights part. But if you turn them on they shine orange – like indicators should do.

There is a similar bulbs from Osram = Osram Diadem and from Bosch = Bosch Magic.

Don't know if these bulbs are avaiiabe in the US, but i'm pretty shure that there are similar products available.

Regards from Germany, Markus

Garage
+1 Markus

I use the silver coated bulbs in my 03. Forget where I got them, but available in US from Amazon or eBay. Keeps the nice clear look, but light up amber. Did the same for my clear side markers too.
