Replace Spark Plug tubes as well?

 So, I purchased a 1998 Boxster a bit over a month ago, and it looks like it is time to change the oil (or that's what the window sticker says)...

Since I don't know when the filters were changed, I'm changing those as well (minus the gas one)...

I don't know when the plugs were last changed, so I am thinking about changing those (Still not sure which plugs I should buy, as everyone seems to have an opinion on those, feel free to weigh in as well)....

My question is not knowing the history of the car more than the guy that had it before me, should I replace the spark plug tubes as well?

Thanks!

Congrats on the Boxster!

The spark plug tubes are easy to replace since you'll have the coil packs removed anyway. Its one of those "as long as you're in there" things to do and could prevent a future leak or seep from occurring. I'd always replaced them when I got a new to me Boxster/996.

Good advice because the tubes become brittle and crack/leak
